About the studio

Studio Sakaia was founded in Dubai in 2025. The studio designs residential interiors across the UAE and Europe, and takes on commercial projects where the scope and standards align with our residential work.

The studio works with a network of trusted architects, artisans, manufacturers, and contractors based in Dubai and Europe. Every project is managed end-to-end by the studio, from initial brief through to final installation and handover, with one point of contact throughout.

Madalina Aris

Madalina trained in interior design and has spent the past fifteen years living and working between Dubai and Europe. The studio's approach is shaped as much by that travel as by formal training.

She works closely on every project, in collaboration with the studio's network of trade partners. The studio is structured to deliver editorial-grade interiors at a steady pace, with consistent design direction throughout.

Interior design

A fifteen-step method. Four phases.

Project Initiation
Steps 1–2

A paid two-hour consultation followed by a signed agreement. The brief, scope, and timeline are confirmed before any design work begins.

Design Development
Steps 3–5

Site measure, trade day, drawings, material and furniture selections, and a full design presentation. Every selection, every drawing, and every cost reviewed and approved before procurement.

Procurement & Implementation
Steps 6–9

Purchase orders are placed, schedules are built, and on-site work begins. The studio supervises trades and contractors throughout, with weekly client updates and structured site checks.

Installation & Handover
Steps 10–15

Furniture installation, styling, project reveal, and resolution of any final deficiencies. The space is fully turn-key when handed over and ready to be photographed.

Property staging
